investment

matter in hues works with on a case by case basis. if there is work or a story that I deeply resonate with, I will prioritise making it a feasible investment.

however, I understand the need for a ballpark to gauge fees when planning an event or project.

lifestyle

all my quotations are based on an hourly rate of R1700, the cost of travel from the Bloubergstrand area at R4.95 per km.

elopements

enquire with details of your event, these are highly customisable depending on the date, guest count, and location.

I strongly encourage you to fill in the enquiry form for an exact quote.

social mission

I moved from working in the non-profit space to photography, and had complicated feelings shifting from work that was so selfless in nature, to work that on the surface can feel a bit superficial.

it took some time and internal questioning to see how photography can be used as a tool for good. I'm still asking this question and continue to unpack more with each shoot.

currently, this is what I've got: capturing a story well, with integrity and authenticity is anything but superficial. photographing these hill-top moments, while gently guiding the subject/s to feel comfortable to express themselves is precious. and is something I aim to do better with each story I am invited to document.

secondly, everyone deserves to have their story told. everyone deserves to have it done with great care, sensitivity, and skill. which is why I emphasise the value of reaching

out to me regardless of your budget.

matter in hues aims to be accessible to as many as possible who resonate with my work. right now, this looks like taking on several projects per year (major & minor alike) that are heavily subsidised.

I am still working towards standardising this service. I am heavily inspired by the work of Dr Hannah Rose Abrahams-Crocker (drhrac on instagram). Once a month she sees patients for free GP visits at her private practice. I am inspired to develop a system for matter in hues that similarly creates and maintains access to professional service and care, regardless of socio-economic status.

do you have any ideas for me? I am always eager to hear from and develop this alongside my community.
